A team from Victoria were the winners of the the Clay court Team Challenge (Aug 2 to Aug 7) held at Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club. The tournament was organzied by Randy Jones, Peter Jackson and Sherman Kwok. Team members were Randy Jones (Captain) Geoff Bourne, Art Hobbs , Ed Bakker , Tim Hopper, David Fairbotham , Lyall Zucho , Robert Betauer , Sherman Kwok , and Mike Koren.

Grand Opening of new Centennial Tennis courts
Come show your support for the newest lit tennis courts in town at Centennial park in Central Saanich. (Wallace Drive at Hovey Road.)
August 27 starting at 3pm:
-Ribbon cutting will be at 3 pm
-4 games Tennis Exhibition by Panorama Junior Coaches after Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
-Approx.. 3:30pm - Play the pro drills and Progressive tennis
-Try Tennis Court until about 430 pm
There will be hot dogs, music via ipod and prizes giveaways.
